‘Fat people’, i.e. those that don’t fit societal norms, face judgment every day. People make assumptions, born out of stereotypes created through years of social conditioning that fat people are lazy and unmotivated and lack self-control.

That’s why we’re surprised when we see a heavy woman engaging in yoga practice or a fat person…
